TOP 10 NFL GAMES TO WATCH THIS YEAR

What do you think might be the top 10 football games to watch this season? I’ve gone threw and personally marked them down for you going week by week in no particular order starting with week 1 of the NFL season.
WEEK 1

1. WASHINGTON REDSKINS @ NEW YORK GIANTS - Well for starters it would be nice to see if Eli during the Playoffs was just a fluke or not. Personally I think he is just starting to come into his own.  Do you think the REDSKINS have forgotten about getting stuffed on 4Th and 1 week 3 last year???? That win started a 6 game win streak for the GIANTS and jolted their season to the SUPERBOWL victory we all enjoyed last year. Washington starting with a new coach (Jim Zorn) and big expectations of Jason Campbell should really make some noise in the NFC Wild Card hunt.

WEEK 3

2. JACKSONVILLE @ INDIANAPOLIS - If you are looking for a possible changing of the Guard this year in any Division no other race might be as physical or as tight as INDY and JACKSONVILLE.  MJD will have to have one of his best games in order for the Jags to win not to mention David Garrard needs to stay completely healthy this year and be almost as mistake free as he was last year.  You know what you’re going to get with both teams the JAGS want to run it down your throat and the COLTS want to pass, pass, pass, pass and maybe run a few times as well.  When healthy the Colts D is as good as anyone in the league.

WEEK 4

3. CLEVELAND @ CINCINNATI - If you are a fantasy freak as I am this might be your biggest and most productive week if you have players from either team. Last years match up between the two teams totaled 96 points and 1092 total offensive yards and 12 Total TD’s.  If you can’t get Jacked Up for an offensive game with No to Little Defense you might be better off watching some meaningless NBA preseason game.  Not only is this the battle of OHIO but one hell of a match up for Top Tier WR’s in Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson, T.J. “Whosyourmomma” Houshmandzadeh against Braylon Edwards and a new addition in Donte` Stallworth.

WEEK 5

4. PITTSBURGH @ JACKSONVILLE - If you like Football which my guess is you do, how do you not like this Match Up going back to the Unforgettable Monday Night game between these two teams in 2006 when Jacksonville won in one hell of a Physical Battle 9-0.  Then during the Regular season the Jags go into Pitt WIN in week 15 and 3 weeks later go back into Pitt and well if you don’t remember that Wild Card game they should just call it the stale sloth game. The Jags WON 31-29.  This year I wouldn’t want to guess what will happen but I can be sure of one thing and that is it will be a Physical Game to the end.

WEEK 6

5. NEW ENGLAND @ SAN DIEGO - Well who can forget the two sights at the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, the first L.T. going down for the first time due to an injury early in the game then sitting on the sideline with his helmet draped over his head like the Chinese’ security at the Olympics. Not to mention the GUTS that the young Philip Rivers showed trying to do everything and then some to try and pull out a victory in one of the Toughest houses in all of the NFL.  This is starting to become a Rivalry between these two clubs starting a few years back when the PATS danced on San Diego’s field imitating Shawne Merriman’s “LIGHTS OUT” Dance and then L.T. calling the PATS classless.  Well now that everyone should be healthy it would be nice to see if this might again be a AFC CHAMPIONSHIP match up preview!!

WEEK 8

6. SAN DIEGO @ NEW ORLEANS IN LONDON - Well ever since last years barn burner between the Giants and Dolphins (NYG over MIA 13-10) in London the NFL wanted to get two pretty high scoring offenses there this year and well who can blame them????  Hopefully for the NFL’s sake and its greedy owners they can make more money in Pounds and Euros and then get it converted to the weak Dollar. I think the Exchange rate is around $1.44 to 1 Euro and $1.77 to 1 Pound, so the NFL could make a killing.  If the NFL ever even thinks about having the SUPERBOWL over in Europe I will boycott it faster than Exxon.  Just the thought of that makes me cringe.  All seriousness aside it would be good to see two Great Offenses over in Europe and allow the Brits to see L.T. and how exciting he is along with Drew Brees and Company.

WEEK 9

7. NEW ENGLAND @ INDIANAPOLIS - Even possibly a longer rivalry between two GREAT TEAMS and QUARTERBACKS.  I believe this match up should be Mandatory every year until Peyton and Tom retire.  I think it is great they both play in the AFC and can be Matched up so often, it is like seeing Montana against Marino all over again if you ask me.  To bad that Montana and Marino were in opposite conferences other wise they might have played a few more times and who would have complained with that?????  Tony Dungy and Billy B two great coaches and one looking like he might retire at the end of the year (Tony Dungy) and wanting to go out on top!!

WEEK 12

8. INDIANAPOLIS @ SAN DIEGO - San Diego is 3-0 against the Colts in the last 3 years dating back to 2005.  The Bolts beat the Colts last year in the playoffs when everyone wanted a AFC Championship match up between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, I guess no one bothered to ask the Chargers what they thought about that. San Diego most commonly referred too league wide as the most talented team has yet to play for a Superbowl in the LT era, I’m sure he’d like to and soon since he isn’t getting any younger.  When this week 12 match up occurs it could be for the home field advantage threw out the playoffs, might want to keep an eye out for this one late in the year.

WEEK 13 - TURKEY DAY

9. TENNESSEE @ DETROIT, SEATTLE @ DALLAS, AND ARIZONA @ PHILADELPHIA

What do you say about Turkey day other than this year there are better Match Ups than in the Past. 2 Division winners from last year in Seattle and Dallas and 2 teams looking to go somewhere this year and very well could in Arizona and Philly.  Tennessee will learn quickly that even though D-Town might have a crappy record possibly and more than likely will around that time of year, they play pretty damn well on Turkey Day every year.  It should be a good day of Football and not to mention, IT’S TURKEY DAY, how could you go wrong with getting stuffed and watching football with family!!!!!!

WEEK 17

SEATTLE @ ARIZONA - This Game could very well be for all the Marbles in the NFC West not to mention the last game of the Regular Season of 2009.  Two Semi to very High Powered offenses going at it and who knows if by Week 17 if either team will be completely healthy. If they are it should be a great match up. Although I am going against History and the Tide on this one, I’m sure some players come to mind when thinking of being injured on these two teams. Kurt Warner, Bobby Engram, Deon Branch, just to throw out a few of the bigger names. The NFC West crown should be already in place by this game but as everyone knows in the NFL teams can go from worst to first in a hurry.

What Games do you think should be in the top 10 if I missed any?????  Throw some out there if you got em.
